    Need help with an excel document! Please!!


    I've got an unsaved excel document on my laptop but now am unable to save it because my Microsoft subscription has expired. How can I keep all my work but log into a new Microsoft account rather than reactivating the old subscription?I've tried copying and pasting the document into the online version, but the equations don't copy over.

    From the above description, I understand you are unable to print Excel documents on the computer running Windows 10.



    Before assisting further, I would like to ask you few questions:

    • Did you check if you are able to print other system documents or webpages using the printer?
    • Did you check if the printer is visible under Devices and Printers?


    You will be able to print documents and web pages from the Printer if the device is online or showing working status under
    Devices and Printers.



    If haven’t tried, I suggest you to check if you are able to print documents other than Excel documents or webpages using the printer.



    Also check if the printer is listed under Devices and Printers
    by following the steps below:



    • Press Windows logo key on the keyboard, type Devices and Drivers and select the top most search result.
    • Under Printers, check if the printer you are trying to print from is listed.
    • If yes, print a test Excel document and check if the device works.

    Help needed with Excel Attendance Sheet

    You use the Data tab, Data validation facility to do this.

    If you want a coherent explanation then look in Excel Help. Here's the relevant extract from Excel 2007 Help. Excel 2007 Help - Data Validation.pdf

    My example:
    - I have written them in what seems to me to be the order of easiest explanation.
    - You'd actually set them up in the reverse order - step 3, step 2, step 1.

    1 The result - my dropdown list. I select the cell then click on the dropdown arrow that appears next to it.

    2 To set this up, select the whole column [or individual cells] where you want the dropdown to appear then click on the Data tab then the Data validation control. You need to
    - select In-cell dropdown
    - set the Allow entry to List
    - in Source, enter the worksheet name & cell range where you have written the allowable entries - you will generally want to use absolute cell references such as those shown [$ in a cell address means absolute and will not vary as you copy the formula all the way down your column - look this up if you are not familiar with it because it needs a bit of getting used to].

    3 Write out the list of allowable entries that will appear in your dropdown list.

    Folder Freeze when trying to click on a Word Document. HELP

    Hi there,

    I came across a very weird bug/issue.

    Use Case

    Step 1: Create a word document on Desktop and name it TestFreeze

    Step 2: Test that you can open the word document and write something like 'Testing freeze folder' ->save it

    Step 3: Create a folder on Desktop and name it FreezeMe

    Step 4: Copy 'TestFreeze' document in the 'FreezeMe' folder

    Step 5: Open the 'FreezeMe' folder and select/click 'TestFreeze' document

    Result: Folder Not Responding

    Additional Information

    I have run some tests and it does not matter:

    • if it is a new or old Microsoft word file
    • if the document has content in it or not
    • if it has a long/short name or special characters
    • it does not matter the folder or the name of the folder in which you put the file in
    I also tried with an excel file and seems that I do not experience the same issue.

    Microsoft version: 16.0.9330.2073

    Windows version: 10.0.17134 Build 17134 with all updates up to date

    If there is anything else I can provide to help sort this out, please do let me know.

    Opened to any suggestions on how to fix this, as it is very frustrating.
