Windows 10: Need Help With Automatic Time Zone Changes

I have a work Surface Laptop 6 and a personal Laptop 4. I moved from Pacific to Eastern Time about 4 months ago. Since then, I have had issues with only these laptops and time zones. At my rental, the Laptop 4 was solid and stayed on Eastern. However, the work laptop kept trying to switch me to Pacific whenever I joined a network VPN, other WiFi.I then moved to a permanent location one city over and now the Laptop 4 keeps trying to change me to Central at random and the Laptop 6 keeps trying to go to Pacific randomly. These changes are not linked to any action that I can tell, which is

Time Zones do not change

Thanks for taking the time to help. I appreciate it.

I opened the account on my computer which has Administrator Privileges and ran regedit.

In the first string you suggested, it was already set to NTP.

In the second string, I changed the value to 3, as instructed.

Regrettably, after the restart - the trouble is still present. The Time Zone is still stuck on the time zone of the place I started my trip from.

I opened Settings>Time and confirmed that the toggle is set to Automatically Detect/Change the Time Zone, but it clearly isn't working. Additionally, the place where it displays the Time Zone (which if you click on usually drops down a list where you can
select a new TZ) is grayed out and not longer drops down a list if you click upon it.

Also grayed out is the toggle allowing you to choose to ignore Daylight Savings.

Hmmm. Puzzling.

You can try the steps below and check if it helps.

Go to Search. Type Data and Time. Open it.

Click on Internet Time tab.

Click on Change settings.

Check Synchronize with the Internet time server.

Click on update now.

Click Ok.

Also, you can check the Date and Time settings.

Go to Search and type Change Date and Time.

Click on it to open.

Make sure set time automatically is on.

Make sure set time zone automatically is on.

thanks so much for taking time to respond-sadly it did not work- I clicked the box and clicked update now (internet server said time.windows.com) but then said but an error occured because timeout period expired pls help

ALSO as noted in my original post - i already ensured set time automatically and time zone automatically is on thanks
