    Need help with completing Windows update


    2024-06 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems KB5039302: Install error - 0x800f081fI keep running into the install error code above. I've tried resetting my laptop several times and tried to go over the whole process but never finding a solution.     Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

    Windows 10 "Couldn't complete updates"

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update and response.

    I suggest you to go to Windows services and restart the Windows Update service and check if it helps. Follow the below steps to do so.

    Steps:-

    • Press Windows Key + R and type “services.msc” (without quotes)
    • Hit Enter.
    • Search for Windows Update service in the list.
    • Right Click on it and stop it.
    • Again right click on it and start it.
