    Ok, so I have a notepad program working and all using the .bat file extension on MY computer, but I want it to work on anybody’s. Here’s the code:

    @echo off set number=0 :benchmark start C:\Users\myname\Documents\benchmark.txt set /a number=%number%+1 echo Tabs: %number%>>log.txt goto benchmark

    I would want to know how to make the program go to anyone’s downloads and open a folder named “benchmark” and run a file named “benchmark.txt”. Someone pls help me

    Notepad

    I followed your suggestion but wasn't able to find Notepad listed on the startup. There are some listed as program but don't know which ones it could be.

    Open .bat files with Notepad in Windows 10

    How do I get Windows 10 to open .bat files in Notepad. It keeps wanting to go to store for an app and of course Notepad is not there. When I right click on the .bat file, "open with" is not an option. What am I missing?
