Windows 10: Need Help with Scheduled Task to Remove Mail App

I created a task that executes a PowerShell script from the local computer with the following parameters:1. General: System account, "run whether user is logged on or not", Run with highest privileges2. Triggers: At log on of any user, At system startup3. Actions: Start a program, [program/script] C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe, [arguments] -ExecutionPolicy Bypass c:\software\ShredMailAppX\ShredMailAppX.ps1[start in] have tried <blank> and C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0 and c:\software\ShredMailAppXContents of script PS1 = Get-appxpackage *windowsc

I suggest you to clear the task from Task Scheduler using the below steps and check if the issue still persists.

Steps:-

• Type Task Scheduler on Search bar.
• Click on Task Scheduler Library.
• Select the particular task and right click on it.
• Select End.

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

Issue with Task Scheduler

The task name sounds like a malware. Try running a full scan using Malwarebytes, and Junkware Removal Tool (www.malwarebytes.org). These tools will remove malicious
tasks added by malware.

And, if that doesn't remove the task, you can remove it manually using the steps listed in this article.
