Windows 10: NEED HELP WITH UPDATE DRIVING ME NUTS!!!

hello for some reason i cannot update the 2021-08 cumulative update for windows 10 version 20h2 for x64- based systems KB5005033. THE ERROR MESSAGE I GET IS "IT COULDNT COMPLETE THE UPDATE UNDOING CHANGES"AND ON MY WINDOWS UPDATE SECTION IT HAS THESE NUMBERS- 0x800f0922, can someone please help me?

Folder not accessible corrupted or unreadable, driving me nuts!

I used to get your folder not accessible corrupted or unreadable symptoms if I disconnected then reconnected a backup drive [MicroSD card] while the computer was asleep. So I think your concern about checking data leads & power supply is spot on.



I reformatted the drive afterwards but I could probably have got away with ChkDsk instead.

By the way, your symptoms do not match what that newspaper article is about. And that CU is still listed in https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...update-history and it still gets listed by WUMgr as an update to be done.

Help with external hard drive

I appreciate your interest in windows 10 and also for trying the troubleshooting steps to fix the issue. I understand the inconvenience you faced. I will certainly help you with this.

I would suggest you to plug in hard drive then check in disk management you can see the drive or not.

Follow the steps to check Drive in Disk Management.

• 
  Go to the Control Panel then click on the
  Administrative Tools. .
  
• 
  Under the Administrative Tool Click on Computer Management.
  
• 
  Click on Disk Management and check the External Hard Drive.
  

Also check in BIOS whether External Hard Drive is listed or not.

For help with the BIOS settings, refer to the computer manual or contact the manufacturer.

If it doesn’t work then, I would suggest you to update BIOS for updating BIOS contact Lenovo Support.
