Windows 10: need help with windows account and password

.I gave my daughter my previous windows 11 computer. I thought the windows account was set up for her. I forgot the password. I turned on the computer and entered forgot password. The system gav message there was something wrong with the account and directed me to a microsoft page. I cannot get on so I cannot link to that page. how can I fix this problem.

Local Account password changed to Online Account Password

I suggest you to follow the steps on how to switch from Microsoft account to Local account:

• Click on search in taskbar and type account.
• Click on Accounts.
• Now, under Your account, click on Sign in with Local account instead.
• Enter your Microsoft account password for confirmation and then follow the screen instruction.
• Enter User name credentials for your the Local account and click OK.
• Now, login to Local account.

Cannot access my User Account on local machine but can access Admin account. Need help finding password but NOT reset it as it will delete saved data.

If you reset the local account password it will not delete the Saved data.

I suggest you to back up the saved data and files from the admin account and try to reset the password and check if it helps.

Follow the steps below to reset the password.
