    Windows 10 - My PC won't boot at all, won't run any repair/restore tools

    Upon being prompted to upgrade to Windows 10 today I did so, all went fine... but the display resolution seemed wrong, so I tried to change it. This lead to my monitor saying "out of range". I tried to boot the PC in safe mode and change it back, but it
    didn't work. So I then tried to run the startup repair tool... that's when I got the first message saying I'd run into problems and my pc would have to restart.

    Bad_System_Config_Info

    This message now comes up every time I boot my PC.

    It won't boot safe mode, won't reboot to previous version, there is no system restore data anymore, it won't refresh/reset... I've tried all options but I cannot get my PC to boot anymore. it just tells me its unable to do any of the repair/restore tools.
    It won't do anything, literally none of the options work

    What on earth do I do?

    Windows won't reset or restore, Automatic repair loop

    Hi Bruno,

    When the Automatic repair fails, we can suggest using the command prompt from Windows 10 Boot Options menu to run bootrec commands to fix the files the Auto Repair couldn't. Here are the steps:

    • On the windows Recovery Option, choose Troubleshoot >
      Advanced Options      .
    • Select Command Prompt.
    • Enter the following commands in the Command Prompt:
    • bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd
    • bootrec.exe /fixmbr
    • bootrec.exe /fixboot
    Once the repair is done, restart your PC and check if the issue is resolved. Let us know the outcome, so we could provide further assistance as necessary.

    Windows 10 won't boot system restore or reset?? Help please


    So windows 10 crashed and now it won't boot. It gets past the manufacturer logo (acer) and then I get a black screen with a blinking curser. I used a usb with windows to boot it up but have tried to restore it, but it failed. Reset it , keeping my files, and that didn't work either. I need to get into the laptop as it has my every photo of my daughter who is now 18months and all our wedding photos. Please help my wife is not happy!!!!
