Windows 10: Need Internal Microphone

I purchased a used external microphone for a friend.Needing to test it before giving it to my friend.I inadvertently made it the default microphone.Now, I'd like to switch back to the internal microphone but do not know how to switch them.Help please.

Thanks a lot for your response. I tried all the steps that you had suggested, but the problem still persists: the internal microphone alone doesn't respond. As you have requested, my system details are:

This issue might occur if there is change in sound settings.

To assist you better, please provided us the information below:

• When you say that "latest drivers", how exactly have you update the drivers? Is it through Device Manager?
• What is the make and model of the computer?
• Are you facing any issues with using external microphone on the computer?
