Windows 10: Need scanning application compatible with Lexmark x204n printer/scanner

I recently obtained a barely used Lexmark x204n laser printer/scanner no longer supported by Lexmark that I want to use with my HP Pavilion dv6-3155dx notebook running Windows 10. The print function works fine, but I have not found a way to use the scanner. I have found only one scanning application that purports to be compatible with the printer and Windows 10. The application is Vue Scan. However, the application is unable to detect the presence of the scanner. I have tried two different Lexmark drivers: Universal P53 and x204n Class. Lexmark 2425 working as printer but not scanner

Hi,

I have a Lexmark MC 2425 printer which works perfectly as a printer. However, although it says it’s set up as a Multi function device it is not being recognised as a scanner. It doesn’t appear in scan profiles and under scanner properties it says it’s unavailable.

I’ve tried removing the printer and reinstalling it, which didn’t make any difference.

I do not know about the Lexmark but a common mistake is to forget to turn on the printer and configure it on the printer display menu for scan

I presume you have installed the driver for the Lexmark

The driver includes the scan driver, as you will see when you open it
It may be an idea to try the latest firmware which I see has only recently been issued IF it still does not work after installing the driver and commissioning the scan setup as described with my screenshot

printer/scanner lexmark 750 PRO

I have a Lexmark 750 PRO...IT IS A PRINTER/SCANNER COMBINATION. I can print but it will not scan. I just says X FOR SCAN PROFILE. HELP
