    Need some help with a new build


    Sup everyone. I need a bit of help on something that is stumping me on a new build I have done. To start this is my first time dealing with Windows 10 free version or whatever they call it. Now the problem. I was asked by a friend to build him a PC. So I said sure. I got the parts tossed it all together and installed Windows 10 home. But the free version because I was under the impression that would be fine. However, Windows is detecting all 16gb of RAM but is only allowing 4 as usable. It is also not detecting the GPU even though I am plugged directly into the GPU itself. Now my main question is is this a Hardware (ie motherboard , GPU or Ram) Issue or is this because I don’t have Windows activated? Cause I will just buy a code off Ebay for like $10 if need be. Any solutions would be very helpful before I start RMAing stuff.

    is it possible to hand build a motherboard?

    Might I suggest you simply build a computer, making notes and taking pictures step by step. Most people (probably including your teacher) have no idea even where to start building a computer. You'll do fine, and if you get stuck we're here to help ya out! *Toast :toast:
