Hi! Been having a lot more bsod in this past weeks and i'm trying to figure out what's the problem

    Some info:

Latest Crash were - Kmode exception not handled

    - Page fault in non paged area

    - Interrupt exception not handled

    - WHEA uncorrectable error

    - IRQL GT Zero at system service (seen this one only once)

Everytime it happens I always look to find info on the related error code but it always seems like a lot of things might be responsible.

Here's a Event Viewer of the last one (Kmode exception not handled) Can give more details if needed.

Haven't troubleshoot the hardware side of solutions yet.

Thanks! (Will give somr more info in comment)

  2. Increasingly frequent BSOD's

HELP! I'm getting increasingly frequent BSOD's, 6 in the last 5 days, including one yesterday and 3 today. I have Windows 10 installed, its up to date. A few days ago after I got the 2nd BSOD I ran CCleaner to clear junk from the hard drive and also to
clean up any registry. I also did a disk defrag.

Since I've now had 3 events in one day I've installed crystaldiskinfo to monitor the hard drive and am trying to run sfc and dism. The first few events I suspected I was overworking the hard drive as I often run quite a few programs concurrently: MS word
with files up to 10 MB, large excel spreadsheets up to 33 MB, adobe acrobat and often with QGIS, google earth, firefox, skype, dropbox, windows explorer, AVAST and mail running in the background. After crashing a few times I cut back to mostly just having
word and acrobat running with AVAST in the background and tried to keep use of the other software to a minimum.

    Specs are:

System Model HP ENVY TS 15 Notebook PC

    System Type x64-based PC

    System SKU E3B82PA#AKL

    Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4900MQ CPU @ 2.80GHz, 2801 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)

    BIOS Version/Date Insyde F.65, 20/11/2014

    SMBIOS Version 2.7

    Embedded Controller Version 147.82

    BIOS Mode UEFI

Any help much appreciated. How do I upload the MSinfo32 and *.dmp files?

    Thanks

    Michael

  3. Increasingly frequent BSOD's

Thanks, I removed networx completely, can't see why I need it anyway. Things seemed to work for a while, then this morning I had another BSOD. Clearly the problem is still there so I tried to run verifier again. Windows would not launch with verifier
running - numerous BSOD's then the windows recovery screen came up, I had to dial back windows to 15 October - at first it wouldn't launch on reboot but it did on the second try. A further BSOD then occurred, I rebooted and loaded the dmp files to Dropbox - Error

My system seems quite unstable, anticipating that I may need to reinstall windows, I have updated my back up archive. I'll try verifier once more and then memtest

    Increasingly frequent BSOD's

First step you need to update or remove this 2007 driver

Related to swivspnt.sys Virtual Serial Port Driver from Sierra Wireless Inc.

These crashes were related to memory corruption (probably caused by a driver).

Please run these two tests to verify your memory and find which driver is causing the problem. Please run verifier first. You do not need to run memtest yet unless verifier does not find the cause, or you want to.

If you are over-clocking anything reset to default before running these tests.
In other words STOP!!! If you do not know what this means you probably are not

1-Driver verifier (for complete directions see our wiki here)

2-Memtest. (You can read more about running memtest here)

By the way, just an FYI. This is a peer to peer site staffed mostly by volunteers who have little or no contact to Microsoft so I doubt your feedback will even be seen
