Windows 10: Need standalone XPS Viewer for download for Windows 10

Hello all. I am looking for a stand alone download of XPS Viewer to install in a Win 10 build 1709. It is on every single machine except one. When trying to add it through manage apps, it just spins. When adding through DISM, it fails because WSUS is active. I have read every post here and online for this issue. Yes, we are on a domain, and run gpupdate and configuration manager 20 times, will not pull it in. Cannot disable WSUS, cannot install off the domain, and our IT admins are unavailable for the moment. I put my XPS viewer on the box, but since there is no installation engine, no registry entries, so it will not open.


So no "try a clean boot", "Run system file checker", or any of that stuff I have been doing for 25+ years. I need a stand alone installer, if it does not exist, then so be it. Please read this before replying. Thanks for any help

old XP viewer for windows vista

Microsoft for some reason (???) rendered the viewer that comes with Windows unable to play the animation in GIF images... I know there is IrFan viewer ( and im currently using in vista ) to view images, but personally i prefered the simpler viewer XP had for watching those small animations. Is there a way to run the old XP image viewer in vista? Is somewhere downloadable?

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

XPS viewer is a file format that Microsoft created to print content to a file very similar to PDF. Microsoft is retiring support for the file format and removing the XPS Viewer app on new installations. This means that if you're
doing an upgrade from Windows 10 built version 1709 (Fall Creators Update) to build 1803, you'll continue to have support for the format, but if you're setting up a new device, or do a clean installation, the XPS Viewer app will no longer be available.

To try using XPS service viewer, please follow the below mentioned steps:

1. Open Settings.

2. Click on Apps.

3. Click on Apps & features.

4. Under "Apps & features," click the Manage optional features link.

5. Click the Add a feature button.

6. Select XPS Viewer from the list.

7. Click the Install button.
