Windows 10: need suggestions..true several options regarding turn off fod manage backup off

if there is a large size folder that is of 416 gb in onedrive and windows storage has 516 gb free space out of 2tb and we need to move that onedrive folder to windows local storage while moving or copying it it is taking more time and speed of it is very slow and the process is not getting completed then what are the troubleshooting steps to move or copying and so that the system performance does not get affected or file explorer does not crashes? itunes folder:416gb and within that I have more than 4500 folders I have tried doing the process in smaller chunks but it's still the same..it's jus

  How exactly are you trying to perform back up? Is it from the Backup and Restore (Windows 7) or File History?

  Which drive have you selected to back up? Is it an external drive or a network drive or a local drive of the system?

  When you say 'only allows me to do another backup with the same options', which options are you referring to?
  
• 
  Are you unable to select a different drive for a backup from the backup destination list?
  

If you are using a Backup and Restore (Windows 7) option then, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

  Type backup and restore in the search bar and press enter.

  Click on setup backup option.

  Click on refresh button to check if the drives are visible in the
  backup destination list.

  Choose the drive which you want to back up and click on
  next.
  

If you are trying to use file history I suggest you to un-plug it and restart your computer. Re-plug the external drive and check if the file history options are available.

Try the below steps and check if it helps:

• Go to Settings from Three horizontal dots at top.
• Click on Advanced Settings.
• Select View Advanced Settings.
• Click on Privacy and services.
• Now Turn the ‘Show search suggestions as I type’.

Let us know the status.

 

Permanently Disable File History Backup

I suggest you to follow the below steps to turn off the back up and check if it helps.

• Press windows+X and click on control panel.
• Then click on “backup and restore option”.
• Then click on the option “turn on schedule”.
• Then on the left hand side you will get the option ”Turn off schedule”.
