Windows 10: Need the Vertical Taskbar back in Windows 11 - This is agony

C'mon Microsoft. It was already in the product and it's the right way to do a taskbar. If you were going to remove anything, remove the horizontal taskbar for gosh sake.

Vertical Taskbar (Windows 11)

You can do a clean/fresh install of Windows 10.

I'm not installing Windows 11 on any more of my machines until the vertical taskbar comes back. I only have Windows 11 on a 'test' machine at this point. This is a deal-breaker for me... and using a 3rd party program to bring back such an important feature that Windows 10 had is ridiculous.

Kind of funny how "big" of a problem and challenge a vertical taskbar is on Windows 11 when it worked fine on Windows 10.

I guess I'll be sticking to Windows 10 on most of my computers for the foreseeable future. It's still a great (for the most part) OS and works fine. I'm in no hurry to upgrade any of them to Windows 11..... but now I have to shut down and restart my computer for another Windows 10 update.

 

Window 11 - Vertical Taskbar Option Gone - Really?!?!?!

For all my years using Windows I have much preferred having my Taskbar aligned vertically. I almost never need to left/right scroll because almost all views are much narrower than my screen Window 11 took away that option. Now I've lost vertical space and have to scroll vertically more often (carpal tunnel much!).

Microsoft, put the option to have the Taskbar in a more optimal vertical orientation. You are acting like Apple!
