    I am 76 years old, know little about computers and I badly need help with drag and drop. Often, I find data and files get mistakenly moved and I feel helpless. I'm pretty sure that my drag and drop function is too sensitive and needs adjustment. I found advice on line followingStart the Registry Editor regedit.exe Go to the following branch: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop.In the right pane, set the data for DragHeight and DragWidth values to 50.Exit the Registry Editor.Logoff and login back for the change to take effect.I found DragHeight and DragWidth w

    Hi Charles,

    the steps you suggested didn't work for me but, when pressing the escape key it somehow expanded the drive and by using drag and drop to the single file in the list worked.

    In the past I could drag and drop multiple folders onto the drive on the network computer(s). Doing it on individual folders will take far too long and time consuming and is not an option.

    Microsoft should be able to identify what is blocking it and issue a fix.

    My machine is multi boot so tomorrow I will try with Windows 7.

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community and sorry for the delayed response.

    In order to assist you better could you please confirm a couple of things:

    • While dragging and dropping do you get an option to change the bit transfer rate?
    • If yes, have you tried changing the bit rate?
    If you get an option I suggest you to try changing the bit rate manually while dragging and dropping and check if this helps. Also please be informed that its by default your files are being transferred with the bit rate 160 kbps. So you may leave a feedback
    by using the Windows feedback App.
