Windows 10: Need to edit my birtdate as I'm the adult on the account. But it won't allow me to edit.

I tried to edit the change of birth to your *** Email address is removed for privacy *** using your parent account 16263540728 and got an error message that says, " Learn more. To manage restrictions for your children, view your family settings." That is why you are redirected to the Family Safety support.

I can listed as an child when i am an adult, how do i edit?

I curently have to account one thru my mobile and one thru my email address. Email address is listed as a child. How do edit this to correct DOB or delete and add to my adult / adminstrator account.

 

Changing Adult Account to Child Account

Hi Peter,

To rectify your issue in converting an account from child/teen to an adult, we suggest that you try these steps and see if it helps.

• Press Windows key + I to open Settings.
• Click Accounts.
• Click Family and other users on the left pane.
• Select the adult account and click Change account type.

Changed my dob by mistake, unable to edit it back

Hi, Thank you for your response. I previously went through the steps there and also contacted 1st line support who went through the same steps, however this did not help and support actually directed me here.

When proceeding through the link that you provided - UK and under 13. It advises to add the account to the family one.
This step was completed by my Husband however this did not work. We believe in relation to this point:

If you don't see the child listed, you do not have permission to edit their information. It could be that another adult in your family has consent to manage the child.

Unfortunately as this was my account, an adult account, it did not need consent to set up. Changing the date of birth to my Sons by mistake seems to have created a child account without a consent holder therefore my husband despite adding me to the family account did not have permissions to edit my account
