After many frustrating hours of trouble shooting / searching over the holidays, thought I’d reach out to the Windows 10 Brain Trust for some help. HISTORYYears in the IT world, used multiple models of IBM, now Lenovo ThinkPad’s since the ‘90’s.Always keep hardware & software updates current, always protected with anti-virus / anti-malware, constantly making backups, etc, etc. After using a good 2017 Lenovo P51 ThinkPad for 3-4 years, I treated myself to a bigger / faster P52 ThinkPad and it’s been solid as a rock as well.My grown daughter needed a bigger / better laptop and decid

Working Touchpad drivers for Thinkpad R500?


Hi, if you have a Lenovo Thinkpad R500 and your touchpad is working with scroll in the MS apps, could you post which drivers you are using?

My touchpad works with scroll, but not in System, startmenu, Devices, Edge and Store.

Also Precision touchpad is missing alot in Mouse & touchpad.

ELAN Driver for touchpad -Windows 10

I suggest that you try the following drivers from Lenovo, it is for Windows 8 but might just do the trick.

ELAN Touchpad Scrolling Issue with Windows 10 in Lenovo Z560

Hi,

I have recently upgraded my Lenovo Z560 from Windows 7 HP to Windows 10 Home 64 bit. It resulted into loss of scrolling facility through sidebar of touchpad.

I went through some posts on internet and finally installed ELAN driver from Lenovo from link:

After installing it, I checked there was no scrolling even then, so as a next step, I uninstalled current driver provided by Microsoft through Device Manager. After this, I was able to see scrolling activated due to Lenovo's ELAN driver was picked by windows
for use.

But, on next boot, Windows 10 again replaced driver automatically, that resulted in again loss of scrolling functionality of touchpad.

I tried by installing driver from Lenovo again several times in past few days, But each time on next boot, Windows was replacing the driver and causing the loss of scrolling function.

Is there any option within ELAN driver from Windows 10, to provide scroll abilities for touchpad?
