Windows 10: Need to know what to exclude from firewall to run Connect/Projecting to this PC

Hello,When I try to project my android phone I get the following message: 'Protected content can't be viewed on this device'.When I turn off the firewall Bitdefenderon my laptop, everything works well.I want to exclude the Connect app from this firewall. I've tried to exclude CastSrv.exe, but this didn't work.Can someone please tell me which programs or components to exclude and provide the path where they are stored?Thanks in advance!

Projecting to this PC works when firewall turned off for private network

Issue:

When using "Projecting to this PC" option, the android marshmallow phone connects to the PC (direct wifi gets activated by getting an ip address, a pop message shows connected), where as on the PC end, the screen status shows the phone is connecting to the
PC. The connection times out automatically getting terminated. On the (never rooted, stock ROM) android phone, the connection is initiated via PlayTo (connect to wireless player).

Troubleshooting steps on PC:

1. Noticed that the wifi-direct adapter is kept in public network, so using group policy editor, I moved it to private network as devices are set to discover each other under this network rule.

2. Firewall for private network is turned off

3. projecting to this pc works perfectly with the android phone

Problem: Now PC is without firewall when Project to this PC option is used. I have to stop using project to this pc, turn on the firewall and then use the internet.

How to make firewall accept "projecting to this pc" connections without turning it off?

We understand your concern as you are unable to cast your android device to Windows 10 PC. In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below.

• What is the make and model of the PC?
• What is the Android version installed on the device?

Meanwhile, we would suggest you to perform these steps and check if you are able to cast the device.

1. Press Windows + I key to open
   Settings.
2. Click on System and then click Projecting to this PC.
3. Under Some Windows and Android devices can project to this PC when you say it’s OK select the drop down to
   Available everywhere.
4. Now under Ask to project to this PC select First time only.
5. Under Require PIN for pairing select Never.
6. Now under This PC can be discovered for projection only when it’s plugged into a power source toggle the switch to On/Off.

Once you set these settings follow the steps below.

1. Press Windows + S key together and type
   Connect.
2. Now open Settings on your Phone and click on
   Connected devices.
3. Then select Cast and choose the PC
   name
