  1. need to move about 10k files nested between 3k folders

    Hi all,

I have a huge task at hand and cannot figure out a quick way to do it.

I have about 3k folders with just over 10k images nested. I need to move all the images into the root folder so i can upload them without going 1 by 1.

    examples : <userFolder>Downloads>root

    image files and folders

    <userFolder>downloads>root>image folder > images

    tips / scripts, advice.

    thank you.

  2. nested desktop folder

After I examining your folder listing, I need to ask for some clarification:

    • Where exactly do you feel you have the unwanted nested folders?
    • The Downloads folder is normalla located here:

      C:\Users\Doug\Downloads

In your case it is located here:

      C:\Users\Doug\Desktop\New Personal\Downloads

Is there any particular reason for this?

  3. Nesting favorites in Edge

    Hello everybody,

I have been trying to figure out how to create folders and have favorites in them in the Edge browser. I have a ton of favorites that are organized by folder of what topic they deal with. My googlefu seems to point to an answer of no folders on the favorites bar, just an endless list of items. Knowing Microsoft the way I do this seems very unlikely, my take is that they love nesting.

    Any suggestions?

need to move about 10k files nested between 3k folders

    Cortana and nest

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

    At present, Cortana can
    control your smart home devices
    such as

    • Turn lights on or off
    • Set the brightness of a light
    • Control a group of lights
    • Set the temperature
    • Turn the thermostat up or down

I would suggest you to check with the Nest support team if the Nest Hello can be
    configured to Cortana commands.

    Regards,

    Nikhar Khare
