    HiI have a Toshiba Satellite laptop that came with Windows 8 when I purchased it new. There was a recovery drive. I wanted to wipe it clean for my nephew but something went wrong and now there is an error saying no boot device. I need to reinstall Windows but the product key isn't on the bottom of the laptop where all the serial number and other information is. How do I get it? I have no idea how to contact Toshiba as everytime I search online, it comes up for printers and POS systems only in my area. I'm in NZ.

    Hi Rodolpho,

    We want to know about the issue you're having with your recovery drive. Please answer the questions below:

    • Are you trying to reinstall Windows 8 or Windows 10?
    • If you already upgraded to Windows 10, were you able to create a new copy of the recovery drive?

    We suggest creating a new copy of the recovery drive and then follow the steps provided by Andre Da Costa above this thread.

    DTS supported natively by Windows 8/8.1 and it should work on windows 10 too just DDL require to unlock your driver .
