Windows 10: Need to stop a pending transaction

I have a pending transaction of $74.89 for the yearly Microsoft 365, I switch it to the $6.99 monthly. I need to make sure that the pending $74.89 gets cancelled

Pending Transaction against old payment option

Dear Mr. Soft

There is a flaw in your system. I had a credit card registered against my account. I made a purchase on my phone which resulted in a 'pending transaction' against this credit card because the card had been cancelled.

I subsequently received an email asking to update payment details...which I did by adding paypal as a payment option...however, there is no way to move or pay the pending transaction using my new payment option. The only option I seem to have is to update
the existing credit card...but that's not possible because all you allow me to do is change the expiry date and I actually have a completely different card number.

So you keep sending me reminder emails but I have no way of ever paying this pending transaction!!

WTF am I supposed to do??????

Please be informed that the pending download that you see in Microsoft Store are updates for the apps that are already installed and not new apps. You may uninstall the apps if you do not use them.



If you are facing issues in downloading updates for the apps that you use, we would suggest you to follow the methods mentioned below and let us know if that helps.



Method 1: Run store app troubleshooter.

1. Go to settings>updates & security>troubleshooter.
2. Scroll down and click on Windows store app
3. It will provide you with the Troubleshooting Report.

Method 2.

I suggest you to run the Windows Update troubleshooter it will automatically fix some common problems installing updates and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

• Have you made any changes to your computer prior to this issue?
• Are you getting any error message while launching the apps?
• Have you installed all the pending Windows updates?

I suggest you to follow the below methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: I suggest you to follow below steps and check.

Step 1: I suggest you to install all the latest pending Windows updates as below and check if it helps.

• Go to “settings” and click on “update and security”.
• Under tab “Windows update”, click on the icon “check for updates”.
• Then once you find the pending updates install it and check.

Method 2: I suggest you to run the app troubleshooter from the below article and check if it helps.
