Windows 10: Need to uninstall certain usb devices and check for hardware changes after every restart.

Hi all!


Have an issue with some USB devices, most notably my keyboard and Logitech wheel when plugged in, whenever the computer is restarted or shut down, the USB devices stop working, as a result I have to go into Device Manager and uninstall the devices not working and then check for hardware changes. As you can guess, I would really prefer if I did not have to do this every time.

USB Devices Don't Work Properly After Restart

Method 1: Windows has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Hardware and Devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue
is with your Devices.

Refer these steps:

• 
  Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.
  
• 
  Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.
  
• 
  Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.
  
• 
  Run the Hardware and Devices.
  

If the issue persist I suggest you to follow method 2.

Method 2: I suggest you to updating the latest USB devices from the manufacturer's website and check if the issue persists.

Follow the steps to update the USB drivers:

a. Press Windows key + X key and click Device Manager.

b. Expand the USB driver.

c. Right-click on the USB and click on Update driver software.

d. Restart the computer and check.

USB composite device "driver error"

Can you send us a screenshot of the error message? We suggest uninstalling and re-installing USB drivers and check if the issue persists. To do that, please follow these steps:

• Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
  
• Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.
• Right-click on the first USB controller under Universal Serial Bus controllers, and then click on
  Uninstall to remove it.
• Repeat these steps for the entire USB controller under Universal Serial Bus controllers.
• Restart the computer. Windows will automatically scan for hardware changes and reinstall all the USB controllers that you uninstalled.

Method 2: Uninstall and reinstall the USB drivers

Uninstall and reinstall the USB drivers from device manager follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X and select
  Device Manager.
• Search for USB Drivers and expand it.
• Right click on the USB Drivers and select
  Uninstall.
• Restart the Computer.

Also install the latest USB drivers from the manufacturer’s website.
