Windows 10: Needed help to fix " unallocated external SSD without losing data "

Hey I needed some help to to fix my external SSD without losing any data on it .Let me explain how all this started at first I wasn't able to delete any files on my external SSD so I tried every method likes changing its properties: attributes: , ownership.... in the end I got know that it was my my security application that was stopping me from doing it , then so I was able do delete files and after some days when I connect my external SSD in my laptop it just doesn't show on my files explorer but shows on device manages as you can see in the photos I have attached.Kindly look into it ,sol

Unallocated Drive but don't want to lose the data

After windows 10 last update my windows was corrupted and I could not find a fix. After hours of research and trying to find a way to fix my problem I decided reinstalling windows was the way to go.

I have two internal drives. Drive C and Drive D. My drive C works fine and all my window problems were fixed. But now I don't see my drive D even though it is there. When I ran windows Disk Management it shows the drive but it is unallocated.

My drive D is loaded with data that I don't want to lose. When searching for a solution, ever solution was an ad for buying software to fix the problem. If that is what I have to do I will but before I take another step I wanted to get feedback. Maybe if I would of done that in the first place I would not be having this problem.

So the question is. How do I fix my unallocated internal Drive D without losing the data on it.

Fix External SSD without recovering data (bit locker corruption)

I have been looking for a way to get my laptop to recognise an external SSD card via Disk Management that was corrupted when Bit Locker became unstable and caused the SSD card to no longer be recognised by the system (even bios does not see the device plugged in).

The steps I have seen so far are focused on data recovery more so then making the device usable, In this situation I am fine with losing any data on the SSD card as long as I can make the hardware functional again for future use.

I do have access to the recovery key via my Microsoft Account, though i would only use this to unlock the device and format the SSD so as to assign a letter to the drive.

Any assistance with the steps to follow while bypassing any recovery steps would be great as this will make it easier for me to follow them and get my hardware functional again.

Hi Vinod,

Yes, you can create a partition in a disk without losing your data by using
Disk Management.

Here's how:

• Search for Disk Management from the Cortana search field.
  
• Click on Create and format hard disk partitions from the results.
  
• Right-click the unallocated space, then click New Simple Volume.
  
• Click the Next button from the window that will pop-up.
  
• Make sure that you input a size in the limit of the available unallocated space. Continue the steps to finish creating a partition.
