    Hello, I recently bought a laptop for work. I went in and created a Microsoft account, after trying to recover my old one unsuccessful because I forgot my old login credentials email and pw. I tried to login using the new email and password I just created and it went through. After completely setting up and checking everything in my settings, I restarted my device. When it booted up, I get an error message on the Sign in page saying "the referenced account is currently locked out and may not be logged on to". Idk how to get around it, unfortunately. There's no box to enter my password, just

    Sorry for the late reply and thanks for sharing additional info. Since there's no issue with your Microsoft account, the error might be caused by multiple incorrect password entry and it usually gets resolved after waiting for a couple of hours before retrying but if its still the same after a day, I suggest following the steps in the link below to help you troubleshoot.
