Windows 10: Neeeed help cant get mic to work with splitter

I bought a tttp splitter and im trying to use my gaming headset with a mic connected to it and my computer speakers so i can hear the game in my headphones and still use my mic but also the sound to come through the speakers. The sound works i get audio through headset and speakers but my mic wont work it shows theres and input device but wont register my voice.

Microphone not working with headset to mic splitter

Hi guys,

I just spent about $10 getting a replacement cable for my headphones that has a mic built in. It's a 3.5mm headset cable (has both mic and headphone audio) that I've connected to a Y-splitter that goes to a mic cable and a headphone cable.

These definitely work as I tried them on my laptop with immediate success.

However, on my desktop, no dice. I can hear audio, but the microphone does not work. I've tried both the front and back audio ports, even opened up the case and checked all my connections to the motherboard and they're all OK.

Are there some obscure Windows settings I can fiddle around with? I have this Realtek Audio Console which is next to useless. Says mic is connected and that's all.

I have Windows 10 for Education 1909.

I have a mic working with splitter (2 male to 1 female) but no audio

I have a mic working with splitter (2 male to 1 female) but no audio is coming out through my turtle beach headset. The playback devices says that it is picking up sound, but I can't hear anything. Only my mic works, please help.

 

USB Mic Problems.

The next step is what I suggested originally. Try it in a friend's PC or take it to Best Buy and ask them to try it one of their PC's. Have to confirm the mic is working OK.
