Windows 10: Nero DVD player

Hi there,

I have external DVD player that I use for desktop PC and laptop as none of them has it built-in. Through MS store I bought yearly subscription for Nero DVD player to watch DVDs and burn pics on my desktop PC. I cannot get Nero on i laptop neither same as on desktop nor buying yearly subscription as for desktop. I do have only one MS account for both. It that a problem maybe and if it is how can I get Nero for my laptop also

Windows DVD Player associated with .IFO files but can't open them

Here is the issue:

• Go to an IFO file on the HDD and try to open it - catastrophic error
• Insert a DVD and auto run with no action. Try to run the IFO file - catastrophic error. Cancel error and can run DVD from the control bar.
• Have not been able to remove option to "open with" windows DVD player for an IFO file.
• No problems with VLC player and Nero Showtime

 

Burned DVD's Work in SOME players

In that case, it is possible the problem is with the blu ray player not supporting DVD+R disks.

Suggest you check to make sure: it's possible you can overcome this problem by simply burning DVD-R instead of DVD+R. Check your blu ray compatibility list first.

 

DVD decrypter DVD shrink ---->Nero?

When using DVD decrypter and DVD shrink is it necessary to use Nero or can I use other software to burn the files at the end. I have Nero 7 but everytime I install it I can only use it once before it does'nt let me anymore. I have heard of the Nero cleaner but I'd rather not use nero because of all the problems it has. Can anyone recommend a really good freeware burning program that can be used with dvd shrink and also be used for mp3, iso and wav? Or do you know if I use the nero cleaner will I still get the problems? The problem is once I install nero
it works fine, then after a day or so when I try to use it again it tells me there was a problem and if I'd like to send a error report. It never did this before but now it does. I have a copy of nero 7 essentials that came with my dvd burner and was wondering if that would work for backing up movies? I am scared that when I install it the same thing will happen. Suggestions please? Thank you for reading..
