Windows 10: .Net 3.5 Error: 0x800f0922 issue on Windows 11 system

Trying to install dotnetfx35.exe on my system. While installing, i get the following eroor:Any thoughts?System:.Net 3.5 Error: 0x800f0922 issue on Windows 11 systemThanksMichael

.net 3.5 framework cannot install on windows 11 error code 0x800F0922

I have read lots of threads related to .net 3.5 unsuccessful installation error code 0x800F0922.

Has anyone managed to install it on windows 11 and how.

I have tried from various youtube videos and forums:

1. Windows update

2. Uninstalled all other .net versions.

3. Mounted win11 iso and used DISM

4. Downloaded net35fx from microsoft

5. Group policy edits

The darn thing wont install on win 11 23h2.

 

Windows 11 Update .NET 3.5 (0x800f0922)

My Windows 11 desktop PC has been failing to install the following windows update: .NET 3.5

The error I get is:

There were some problems installing updates, but we’ll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x800f0922)

I have tried the discmanagement.msc, app readyness, disable vpn, windows firewall

Nothing I have tried has helped and I'm still getting the same error.

Any advice/suggestions would be appreciated.

Windows Update Error 0x800f0922

So, I've been searching and searching for 2 days now in regards to 0x800f0922, no one had the answer, I tried everything. Than, finally found article and tried it. I can confirm below fixed my issue with System Reserve space error 0x800f0922. Tested on 3
computers that I have and all worked great.

Step 1:

***[Run Command Prompt as an Admin]

For executing windows built-in tools in command prompt:

sfc /scannow

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

Step 2:

For reseting windows update components via command promt:

net stop wuauserv

net stop cryptSvc

net stop bits

net stop msiserver

ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old

net start wuauserv

net start cryptSvc

net start bits

net start msiserver

*No need to restart computer, you can try it, if still not working restart computer.
