Windows 10: .NET 3.5 installation Error Code: 0x800F0922

I have been working on this error the whole day. Does anyone know what I could do?I recently downloaded SIMS 3 and it says I need .NET 3.5 to run it. I tried installing it and got the error 0x800F0922. I tried to enable .NET 3.5 through "Turn features on or off" and it did not help. I also disabled the newer .NET version and now can't even turn it on anymore either.I also tried to install .NET 3.5 when my firewall was down and separately when my antivirus software was completely turned off.I tried using the DISM approach in the CMT and that did not work either, gave me the same error 0x800F

I tried any tricks but I can't solve the problem.

0x800F0922 Error While Installing .net 3.5

Hi all,

Got some new computers in and an application we use required .net 3.5. We have tried installing on a local and domain admin account using turn Windows Features on and off. We ran dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth and sfc /scannow. We created an ISO and tried running the commands to install .net 3.5 using DISM. Also attempted to download the .net 3.5 CAB file and ran the commands and at every step I got the error code 0x800F0922

Any information or assistance would be much assistance.
