Windows 10: .NET error when attempting to load one specific program

A few days ago, when I attempt to launch Corel Painter 2020, the load fails shortly after the splash screen appears. This application has worked without a problem until a few days ago. When I use Event Viewer, I see that every time I try to launch the program, I get 2 errors. First it throws a .NET runtime error followed by an Application error see below.



This does not appear to be an application program error as it does not fail when logged in under a different Windows user ID on the same physical machine. Both users are Admin.



My question is how do I correct this problem under my Windows ID?

When I go to Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework and Framework64 the most recent version of .NET is V4.0.30319

When I use Windows Event Viewer, I am getting 2 Errors. First it gets the following .NET runtime error:

attempted to load Dragon NaturallySpeaking 13 Premium, the following error displayed: Error 1402.Could not open key: UNKNOWN\Components\DA42B

Good evening and many thanks for your prompt response.

Undertook attempts to load the program both via the advised Program Compatibility Troubleshooter and compatibility settings manually. Have included detail further herein.

At this point we must reiterate our previous advice that The Dragon speaking program
has loaded correctly to two other PC's running Win 10 64 bit and utilising the same installer. The Windows 10 upgrades were loaded within days to all three computers and with all running flawlessly since loaded. One of the PC's referred is
the exact hardware specification/build and software loaded as per the problem PC.

Relative to your advice re Compatibility, these are steps and outcomes.

• Attempted to load the program via Program Compatibility Troubleshooter and which utilised Windows 8. Same negative error 1402 outcome as previously reported at approx 90% of the load phase.
• Attempted to load the program via compatibility settings manually with only change to defaults being to Windows 7. Same negative error 1402 outcome as previously reported at approx 90% of the load phase.
• Attempted to load the program via compatibility settings manually with
  ALL defaults changed and being: Window 8, Reduced colour mode, Run in 640 x 480, Disable display scaling and Run as an Administrator. Same negative error 1402 outcome as previously reported at approx 90% of the load phase.

Can only say, back to the Community and hopefully further suggestions will be forthcoming.

An error has occured while attempting to load a Microsoft .Net conf


Hi, so for a while now, every time when I try to open Curse Client, I get this screen.



I've went to the site where the "yes" button takes me and I download the thing but it doesn't do anything.
I've tried to .Net cleanup tool by Microsoft, that didn't work.
I tried to install it again, that didn't work.

It's getting pretty annoying since it's something I would like to work.
Any suggestions?

Ps. not sure if right forum, but seems fitting I think.

 

.NET Framework 3.5 installation error: 0x800736B3

I suggest you to follow the below steps to check whether the .NET Framework 3.5 has been installed or not.

• Press Windows+X and then select programs and features.
• On the left hand side click on the option “turn windows features on or off”.
• Check whether the “.NET Framework 3.5” has been checked or not.
• If not check then I suggest you to check it and then install it.
