Windows 10: .NET Framework Initialization Erorr - v4.0.30319

"To run this application, you must install one of the following versions of the .NET Framework:v4.0.30319Contact your application publisher for instructions about obtaining the appropiate version of the .NET Framework."Apps such as discord and breezip are effected by this. They were working until i put my pc into sleepmode for about an hour and the apps would not re-open showing this error. Any help to sort this issue out would be greatly appreciated as this means i cant easily communicate with my friends.

.Net Framework v4 client

Is it ok to uninstall .Net Framework v4 client from windows 10? If so then how would I go about doing this. There is no entry in Programs and Features to uninstall this. There are registry entries for both v4 and v4.0 client. Is there an automated way to
do this?

Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I suggest you to un-check and recheck .Net framework 3.5 and .Net framework 4.6 advance series from Windows features.

Try the following steps:

• Press Windows + R keys to open Run command.
• Type Appwiz.cpl and select "turn Windows feature on or off" from the left
• Uncheck .Net framework 3.5 and .Net framework 4.6 advance series.
• Restart the computer
• Repeat step 1 and 2 and check .Net framework 3.5 and .Net framework 4.6 advance series.
• Restart the computer.

".NET Framework Initialization Error" message

i was wondering if there is a fix on this. I am having the same problem as dodge.

I have this error code when plugging my htc phone in.

To run this application, you first must install one of the following versions of the .NET framework:

v4.0.30319

I have used the clean up tool to take net Framework v4 off ad the phone connects fine. When windows updates to v4. I get the error message when trying to connect my phone. I have used the setup verifier tool and all versions of net framework is fine
apart from v4. It seems like it hasn't installed properly. I have noticed in the log an error of this:

***WARNING*** File C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\sbscmp20_mscorlib.dll is not installed on the system

I have tried to uninstall/reinstall and get the same results

I still haven't found a solution to this
