Windows 10: .net framework - MS23-FEB13 Windows10.0-kb5022498-x64-ndp481-22H2.msu

running into a problem patching a particular windows 10 machine, unlikely to get things going with the feb14th release .netframework patch and would like some assistance. CBS logs have already been collected aside from troubleshooting from https://www.winhelponline.com/blog/error-0x800f0954-net-framework-3-5-optional-feature-dism/

In the meantime, please do the following:

• Bypass WSUS (see example here) using the following PS commands:
  

• From admin PowerShell, run the following:
  

Set-ItemProperty "REGISTRY::HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU" UseWUserver -value 0
Get-Service wuauserv | Restart-Service

• And then install KB5022498 via Windows Update (*NOT* from the MSU)
  
• If the update fails, please upload the latest CBS logs.

Has anyone found a successful work-around for updating .NET Framework? I have tried manually removing all the older updates, reinstalling .NET Framework 4.81, and attempting to update to the release from February 14th. Despite trying both manual installation and WSUS, I have not been able to successfully update.

An update can fail for several reasons, and no single solution fits every device. The CBS logs need to be analyzed to learn what has gone wrong.

1. Open the folder "C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\"

2. Select all files, shift + right-click on the selection, click Send to → Compressed (zipped) folder.

3. Click Yes when you see the following prompt:



Windows cannot create the Compressed (zipped) Folder here.



Do you want it to be placed on the desktop instead?



4. Upload the zip file to your OneDrive/Dropbox and share the link here.

Alternatively, you can do a repair installation of Windows 10 to automatically fix the CBS/CSI errors and install the latest LCU.

• Download the 22H2 ISO using Rufus or Media Creation Tool.
  
• Double-click the ISO to mount it to a drive letter.
  
• Run Setup.exe and complete the upgrade process.
  

Your apps, settings, and data will be retained by default during the repair installation.
