  1. .NET Framework suddenly stopped working.

A couple weeks ago, my .NET Framework has totally stopped working. I noticed because when Discord launched as my PC started, instead of updating like normal, it said it was stuck unable to update, and kept retrying, and never worked. I force closed Discord, went to reopen it, and got an error message. Apparently this error message appears when you don't have .NET Framwork installed. I must have it installed since it definitely worked earlier. I recently moved my entire installation to an SSD, and it was working for a couple of weeks before it suddenly wouldn't boot anything needing .NET Framework. I searched online, and apparently you cannot uninstall and reinstall .NET Framework on Windows 10, only repair it. So I launch the repair tool, and it tells me .NET Framework is installed just fine. I force it to repair using cmd, reboot my computer, still no change. I force it to uninstall using cmd, still no change, it even says it's still installed fine. I recently tried to update my PC, and it tells me it also failed because of not having .NET Framework, so now it's a real issue. I can use discord on my phone, but I can't update my PC through my phone.

So I search even more and they tell me to check my .NET Framework version using registry editor. But when I go look, I don't have the same folders they do. They tell me I'll find out what version I have in the 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP\v4\Full', but my subkeys only go to 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup'. After that I have an 'OS Integration' folder, but no NDP one. So that's a dead end. I've been told to use scripts run through Powershell to fix both .NET Framework and the Windows Update Manager, but Powershell doesn't launch without .NET Framework, apparently. It told me I was missing mscoree.dll, so I find the correct version of it, put it with my other Windows .dlls and it still won't launch, except instead of an error message, the Powershell window pops up for one frame then goes away.

So, I would simply like to be able to have my computer work as it did before a seemingly random point a couple of weeks ago. I've tried as much as I can bear to take, and at this point I'm considering just scrapping the idea and going back to my HDD and seeing if that works, but that'll be a real pain, so I would like other options before that.

    :)
