Windows 10: .net or visual c++

Hello everyone i am facing a problem,with adobe premier pro installation.i get many error massages like generic error,codec error,file missing,when i drag and drop a mp3 or wav file it looks generic error is it directx or .net or visual c++ probelm.my pc is newly installed win 10.

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned below and see if that helps:



Method 1: Reset components



We can try resetting the Windows components and see if that helps.

1. Type command prompt in the search bar on the Taskbar.
   
2. Right click on the command prompt icon and select Run as administrator.
   
3. Type or paste the command and hit enter:
   
   net stop wuauserv
   
   net stop cryptSvc
   
   net stop bits
   
   net stop msiserver
   
   ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
   
   ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 catroot2.old
   
   net start wuauserv
   
   net start cryptSvc
   
   net start bits
   
   net start msiserver
   
4. Close command prompt window.
   

Method 2: Remove Visual C++ and reinstall



I would also suggest you to check if Visual C++ is already installed. To check type appwiz.cpl in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit Enter. If Visual C++ is already installed, I would suggest you to try uninstalling it and then installing it. To
uninstall Visual C++, refer the section Uninstall from the Control Panel (for programs)
under Uninstall or remove apps and programs in the article

Repair or remove programs in Windows 10.



Method 3: Run DISM Command



You may also want to try running the DISM command and see if that helps.
To do this, refer the steps mentioned in the article Using System File Checker
in Windows 10.
