Windows 10: Netflix.com allowing 4K streaming on Mac but not on Windows

    Netflix.com allowing 4K streaming on Mac but not on Windows


    I watch Netflix on my PC all the time and occasionally on my MacBook but now all of a sudden nothing plays in 4K on their website on my PC anymore but it still does on their website on my MacBook. When I load up Netflix's website on my PC and go to something that I know is 4K on Netflix it says HD on it when it used to say Ultra HD 4K. Did Netflix stop allowing 4K on Windows or something? I'm using a Windows 10 PC that is more than capable of streaming stuff in 4K so I don't understand why Netflix doesn't go to 4K on it anymore unless Netflix stopped allowing 4K on Windows. 4K on Netflix on PC also requires the HEVC Video Extensions app which is locked behind a purchase paywall so it's weird that it suddenly doesn't work anymore. Maybe it's a new bug or something. Has anyone else had this problem?

    Lenovo Yoga 710 can't stream netflix in 4k even though it has the specs

    I don't know what im doing wrong. im sure i have all the specs to stream content on netflix in 4k but for some reason its not popping up on netflix that im watching in 4k. Lenovo - 2-in-1 15.6" 4K Ultra HD Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory

    This is my specs for my laptop. I know i have the specs to stream in 4k, i just dont know why. youtube works fine but netflix doesn't. i know you have to watch 4k content in the browser of microsoft edge, check. i know you need to have the highest netflix
    account that allows for ultra hd, check. i know you need to have at least seventh gen intel, check. why can't i watch 4k content in 4k, please someone help.

    Are you paying for the Netflix tier that offers 4k streaming?

    oops, nevermind...you said it works fine on your TV, so you must be.

    Is it that the Netflix app doesnt' show them as available to view in 4k, or are they showing as 4k in the menus, but not appearing as 4k on your monitor.

    Yeah I have the Ultra plan. They do not show them as available to view in 4k, all the shows that I know support 4k only show as "HD" in the menus.
