    Netstat not showing pids

When using 'netstat -b' command; pids are not shown. How do I fix this? The only things that are listed are; protocol, local address, foreign address and state, but again no pid.

    Example:

    Netstat not showing pids bb6bec7a-b1fb-41a6-a75f-df0952c9e75c?upload=true.png

  2. how to use netstat to check for malware?

netstat is a command-line tool (used from a

    command prompt
) that displays incoming and outgoing network connections, ports on which the computer is listening, routing tables, and a number of network interface statistics. It can be used to obtain Local/Foreign Addresses,
PID, listening state and for troubleshooting networking issues.

Using Netstat to investigate for malicious activity.

  4. Netstat not showing pids

    netstat results

Those are likely IPv6 addresses that are showing in netstat. You can read more about that protocol and netstat at the article linked below: Netstat (Compact 2013) Please let me know if that helps.
