Network account locks immediately after a reboot to the computer.There are numerous entries that may offer an explanation, but no conclusive way to resolve the issue.This machine has been reloaded as a step to resolve this previously without success.

Strange Windows 10 User Account issue.

Unfortunately I had done those steps numerous reboots, it just, reappears for no good reason. The base account isn't even a Microsoft account, it's a local account.

I haven't quite tried the built in administrator account on W10, but so far in my experience on my own computer, the built in account seemed to have absolutely no more control than I did on my own.

It's just strange, I go in, it warns me twice about deleting the account, then it's gone. Reboot, and it's back?

EDIT: Just to specify, both command line and Netplwiz both say only HIS account exists on the computer, it doesn't list this rogue account. This is what I meant in my first post about the fact that even Windows doesn't seem to believe it exists, HALF the time. *Frown

 

After the last Windows 10 update, the computer immediately reboots upon shutdown

After the last Windows 10 update, I believe it came though on this computer on Thursday, the computer now reboots immediately after I shut it down. I had a case file with Microsoft Friday morning and we believed that we had it fixed. But after two good shutdown
and restarts it has started up again.

At first my mouse was locking up and not working upon rebooting and that is what Microsoft concentrated on Friday.

Today I booted up, took care of some printing jobs and then shut the computer down again. When it immediately rebooted I changed the mouse and it now works, but the computer continues to reboot. I turned off automatically restart option under startup and
recovery in system in the control panel and it still reboots.

Any suggestions?

I worked all this out for a Win7-WinXP direct ethernet computer-to-computer network and later amended it for a Win7-Win7 network. A step-by-step procedure for creating a two-computer Ethernet cable network - MSAForum You can use a crossover cable but do not have to. Doing this in Windows 10 is just about the same as doing it in Windows 7 but some diagrams look different & you have to look around for the equivalent settings in some cases. But I suggest you do yourself a favour and get a router so that it does all the hard work for you. Best of luck, Denis
