Windows 10: Network adapter disabling whenever I start gaming

For context, this started happening weeks after my system was upgraded to windows 11. I had other issues with it as well so I decided to downgrade to windows 10 but the problem still persisted.Everytime I launch a game like Apex Legends or Rainbow six siege my wireless driver would disable itself and I won't be able to reconnect to wifi or reenable the driver successfully until I performed a network reset or reset winsock. This has been driving me nuts because I've looked up possible fixes and none of them seem to work. If I manage to get the driver up and running, it would just disable itself

The issue you are facing could be due network adapter driver is being outdated. Let’s try simple steps troubleshooting steps and check if this helps. Follow the below methods:

Method 1.

I would suggest you to run Network troubleshooter, it will automatically troubleshoot the network problem and check. If it helps.

  Press Windows + X keys on the keyboard and select Control Panel.
  
• 
  Type Troubleshooting in the search bar on the Control Panel.
  
• 
  Click on View all on the left navigation pane.
  
• 
  Click on Network troubleshooter.
  
• 
  Click on Advanced on the Network troubleshooter dialog box and click on Run as administrator (Enter the credentials if required).
  
• 
  Click on Next and follow onscreen instruction complete the Network troubleshooter.
  

If the issue still persist, try the below method.

Method 2.

I recommend you to uninstall/reinstall the network adapter driver and check. Follow the below steps:

• 
  Press Windows key + X and click on
  Device manager.
  
• 
  Locate for Network adaptor and click on it expand it.
  
• 
  Right click on the device and click on
  uninstall.
  
• 
  Once you are done installing the driver, restart the computer. It will automatically install the generic network adapter driver.
  

If this doesn’t help to fix the issue. I suggest you to update the network driver. Skip step3 from the above steps and right click on the device and click on update.

• On the search bar type “ Device Manager”
• On the left pane locate “Network Adapter” and expand by clicking on it
• Right on the “ Network driver” option and click “Uninstall’
• Download the latest Wireless network adapter driver setup file from the manufacturer’s website and install it.

Windows has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Internet connection. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your internet.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run the Internet Connection troubleshooter

Method 2: Try updating the latest Network Adapter drivers from the manufacturer's website and check if the issue persists.
