Network Adapter IntelR Wi-Fi 6 AX201 Randomly Disappears - Windows 10 - Brand new HP Spectre

I have been having this problem on my brand new 3 weeks old! Spectre laptop. All of a sudden the WIFI adapter device disappears. And the network troubleshooter reports back with what I already know. It's "broken". This has now happened three times in three weeks.

But the solution to link to the internet through an ethernet connection is impossible as the laptop computer has no ethernet plug option.

What has worked for me after trying to figure out how to download and then upload a new driver which was damn near impossible to figure out which driver was needed given all the options out there using my old trusty 7 year old Spectre that NEVER gave me any problems and has all the plugs one needs to access anything - to an external hard drive only to find out that nope - those drivers can't be installed.

So - what has worked is doing a Network Adapter Reset. https://www.zerodollartips.com/network-reset-windows-10/

Sometimes I have to do this TWICE to get it to actually work. Sometimes I have to leave the computer shut down entirely overnight and then reset the network adapter and VOILA! The internet adapter is back!

But seriously.... this is a total pain in the butt for a brand new $1500 laptop computer to repeatedly fail while you are working on it. If anyone has a PERMANENT fix for this I'd be grateful.

    :)

  2. Wi-Fi issue

    Hi,

My Wi-Fi adapter stops working unexpectedly and it does not get fixed until I shutdown then start the PC (doing a "restart" does not work, and sometimes even shutdown/start does not help).

I installed the latest intel drivers (21.90.3.2) but I'm still having the same issue. When I checked the system logs (Computer Management->System Tools->Event Viewer->Windows Logs->System) I found these errors:

    • Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz : Has determined that the network adapter is not functioning properly. (Event ID: 5002, Source: Netwtw10)
    • Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz : A required parameter is missing from the registry. (Event ID: 5011, Source: Netwtw10)
    • Miniport Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz, {4149652b-ccd6-4000-845f-d7f5f0b29b41}, had event Fatal error: The miniport has detected an internal error (Event ID: 10317, Source NDIS)
    • ACPI: ACPI BIOS is attempting to write to an illegal PCI Operation Region (0x4, 0x10, 0x12, 0x14, 0x16), Please contact your system vendor for technical assistance. (Event ID: 10, Source: ACPI)
    • Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz : The version number is incorrect for this driver. (Event ID: 5006, Source Netwtw10)

I have tried resetting network settings, reinstalling the OS but issue keeps appearing almost every day.

    Please help!

    PC: HP Spectre x360, 13-aw00n10

Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160mhz adapter is experiencing driver or hardware related problems

    • I've been having the same problem with my wi-fi connection. My lap-top is a brand new Dell Inspiron and I get out of m nervs because it is the one I use for school and some work.
I downloaded the driver from intel and form dell, each week this seems to be the same ritual. Wi-fi gets of, have to go to

manage > device manager > networking adapters > Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz > right click on Properties > Driver tab > update driver > Browse from my computer for device software > let me pick form available driver on my computer > select the diver >
next > and let this $#&T works.

This is how I resolve this issue. But I rather not have to since there is warranty supporting this

Network Adapter IntelR Wi-Fi 6 AX201 Randomly Disappears - Windows 10 - Brand new HP Spectre

Windows 10 stop automatically connecting to random new wi-fi networks

    Hi,

I have searched a lot, but all the tutorials I found only explained how to not connect automatically to a known wi-fi network or how to disable wi-fi sense... but this is not what I am looking for...

    PROBLEM:

    • When my laptop (Windows 10 Pro X64) is not connected to a network and the wireless adapter is on, it will automatically connect to any random new unsecured wi-fi network... The only way I have now to avoid this is to disable my wi-fi adapter.

UNUSEFUL TUTORIALS I FOUND ON THE INTERNET:

    • How to manually uncheck the option for a particular wi-fi network not to connect automatically in Network Properties. This is not what I am looking for. This would suggest that everytime I power my computer. I would have to manually go through all the available wi-fi networks and unclick them all...
    • How to disable Wi-Fi Sense. This is not useful, because I don't even have a Wi-Fi sense option in my computer where the tutorials say it should be.

    EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:

    • I am looking for an option to tell my computer to stop connecting randomly to unknown wi-fi networks like an hyperactive, reckless idiot.

    PERSONAL COMMENT:

    • Honestly, why would any respectable company think that it could be somewhat wise or secure to do this... Anyone's computer could just randomly connect to any hacker's wi-fi network without the user even knowing it...

Any solutions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
