Windows 10: Network Adapter Intermittent Connectivity - Realtek RTL8723BE

Fixing a desktop for family, and I am having an issue with the Realtek RTL8723BE Wi-Fi Adapter. I've been researching this for about 14 hours now, but I believe I have some more data to add.PC: HP 20-c020OS: Win10 Home v22H2 build 19045.2251 though it is currently 90% on installing KB5020030Adapter: Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11 bgnDRIVER: 2024.0.4.208 05/26/2019The adapter continuously drops Wi-Fi every few minutes. I am about 3m away from the router, and all my other devices connect just fine. 5 phones, 2 laptops, and a streaming device. One of my phones can play PUBG mobile while the streami

my laptop has been experiencing increasing problems of wifi connection recently and I'm now unable to connect to the internet. Troubleshooting attempts managed to get the wifi back for a few days but it seems to be now powerless
as it says "Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11bgn Wireless Network adapter is experiencing driver or hardware related problems". It worked again for a few hours today and I'm now back to no wifi despite troubleshooting and restarting laptop, router etc. Would you have
any clue of how I could sort this out?

Losing network connection

Hello Dear, if you have a laptop or a PC with a wireless network adapter, you can see a list of available wireless networks and then connect to one of those networks. The wireless networks will only appear if your PC has a wireless network adapter installed, the adapter is turned on, and the wireless access point is in range.

1. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Network Connections.

2. In the left pane, under Network Tasks, click View available wireless networks.
In case, If you don't see the network you want to connect to, click Refresh network list. If you see the network but the signal is weak, move the PC closer to the wireless router.

3. Click the network you want to connect to, and then click Connect.

4. If you're connecting to a secure network, type the security key, and then click OK.

How to Dump Networking Parameters?


Had a customer with this problem, they had a brand new Dell Optiplex 3050, with Windows 10 1709, and Realtek Gbit Family of lan adapters (wired connection). After much troubleshooting (many suggestions listed in the course of this thread), it turned out the PC needed a bios update. Among the updates listed on the dell website for bios version 1.52 (I flashed it with the latest 1.92) was "Update RealtekLOM".

LOM is "lan on motherboard" and the Realtek has flashable firmware.

One step for others having this issue is to check their computer manufacturer's website for "Lom" firmware updates for the particular network adapter - whether integrated or an add-in.
