Discus and support Network Adapter Not on List, Hardware Change Scan Not Working in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; I have an Acer Swift SFX14-41G laptop that tried to perform a Windows update, crashed in the middle, then on the restart my Wifi and Bluetooth icons...     Network Adapter Not on List, Hardware Change Scan Not Working


    I have an Acer Swift SFX14-41G laptop that tried to perform a Windows update, crashed in the middle, then on the restart my Wifi and Bluetooth icons were gone. After network resetting, uninstalling the update, doing a winsock reset, and uninstalling the driver I am stuck. None of the above have worked and I am now unable to even assess the properties of the driver because scanning for hardware changes does not reinstall it.

    no wifi driver in Network Adapter

    We appreciate your response. You can try to reinstall your Wi-Fi driver by scanning for hardware changes. Follow the steps below:



    • Go to the Device Manager.
    • Click the Action tab.
    • Select Scan for hardware changes and follow the prompts to reinstall the missing driver.


    If the issue persists, kindly provide us a screenshot of what you are seeing in the
    Device Manager under Network Adapters.

    I suggest you to follow the below methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1: I suggest you to run the hardware troubleshooter as below and check if it helps.

    • Type in search bar as control panel.
    • Then select troubleshooting.
    • Click on hardware and sound option.
    • Then click on “hardware and devices “and follow the on screen instructions.
    Method 2: I suggest you to uninstall the network drivers as below steps.

    • Press Windows+X and select “Device manager”.
    • Then expand the Network adapters.
    • Right click on the driver and uninstall it.
    And then go to the manufacturers website download the network drivers, install it and check if the issue persists.

    Obtaining Network Adapter Driver

    If it is plugged in go to Device Manager, Scan for hardware changes and check to see if there is a Network adapter spot. If not check the USB listings.
