    Network adapter switches of lan connection after exactly 2 hours


    Al the energy saving settings are turned off even the option of the adapter to switch of for saving energy is switched off.

    After restarting Windows the connection stays on for 2 hours and than gets lost again.

    reinstalling the adapter does not solve the problem.

    Windows 10 Pro, version 1909, installationdate, 10-04-2020, latest update, 17-04-2020

    Which network adapter?

    My friend recently came over to my house with his laptop. Before I could connect him to my lan he detected several wireless networks in the area. I want to connect to these wireless networks, but I don't know what kind of adapter I need. I searched his laptop model and this is his network adapter http://www.intel.com/network/connectivity/products/wireless/wireless_n/overview.htm

    It seems he could get both N, and G signals

    what would any of you guys suggest?

    network adapter fails to connect after virtual switch setup.


    If you use both Hyper-V and VPN, you should always first create the Hyper-V switches and only thereafter set up the VPN connection. Setting up a new Windows PC, this is the order to do stuff:
    • Install Windows
    • Set up Hyper-V
    • Set up the external Hyper-V virtual switch(es)
    • Set up VPN connection
    This way the VPN will start using the correct network adapter (an external virtual switch instead of a physical adapter).

    Install a driver for your network adapter

    Go to the list of network adapters in the control panel, turn of the lan and turn it on again. See if that helps.
