  1. Network adapter unable to connect or even show wifis within range

Hi, The last couple of days I have been unable to connect to wifi for more than a few minutes at a time without restarting the computer. I believe I have found the component that is not working, I included the status and info below.I have installed any available windows updates, tried to uninstall the current driver, and download the latest one on Asus website. I keep having the same problem. What is suggested I do?

    :)

Safe Mode with Networking - No network - No WiFi adapter...

I'm not sure what build they made the change in . I have tried every suggestion I found and nothing worked. When in Safe Mode my wireless network doesn't even show up so I can't choose it as a option.

Edit: I just tried booting into Safe Mode. The network icon had a X in it. When I clicked on it the only option was Airplane Mode.

  3. Unable to connect to WIFI (Wireless Adapter issue)

Thanks for the quick turn around, but even after performing above steps I'm still unable to connect to WIFI wirelessly.

I'm able to connect Wi-Fi via Ethernet port, but once I remove the wired Ethernet connection the network goes and a red 'x' mark comes at the bottom of the network task bar icon.

My main concern is that I'm unable to connect my laptop to the WIFI wirelessly as it was working earlier.

In the Device Manager -> Network Adapters - > Qualcomm QCA9377 802.11ac Wireless adapter,

this adapter driver is enabled and a yellow flag is present near the icon, that means that wireless adapter is not working properly.

I've reinstalled this driver many times but issue still persists.

    Kindly help

  4. Network adapter unable to connect or even show wifis within range

wifi 2 networks not showing in available networks for usb adapter

HP Pavilion 17 laptop, about 2 yrs old, had win8 upgraded to 8.1 then win10

Trying to use alfa AWUS036NEH usb adapter.

The wifi networks are available for WIFI 1 for the onboard network adapter which works fine.

The problem is I am trying to use a USB long range usb adapter.

This shows up in settings as WIFI 2 and show the available networks.

However it doesn't show up in available networks to actually pick to connect to. When I had win 8.1 it showed both sets of available networks.

I checked device manager and tried to update the driver but it says its up to date.

Is there a way to get it to show the WIFI 2 networks to connect to?
