Windows 10: Network adapter won't start ethernet Windows 10

Hello, our old modem was shorted out in a thunderstorm so we got a new one. On the old modem there was no trouble with the internet but the new modem will not work with this computer. Ethernet and wireless works with our other devices no problems.

I have done a complete reinstall of windows 10 to no success.

It keeps coming up with the error code 10 will not start.

I have tried installing other drivers but as the computer has no internet connection I can't run any online fixes I have been using a USB drive to install the drivers.

Is it a hardware problem?

Unfortunately being an older computer the driver is no longer supported. It's an IntelR82567V- 4 Gigabit driver running on Windows 10 32 Gigabit OS.

It's a

HP Compaq 4000 Pro Small Form Factor PC no supported software.

IP configuration not valid - interference from ethernet adapter?

Solution 1: No Internet Access In Windows 8.1or Windows 10

Step 1:

Go to Device Manager → Network adapters.
Step 2:

Expand it (Network adapters).


Step 3:

Select your network adapter


Step 4:

Right click on your wireless network adapter or Ethernet adapter and then tap “Update Driver Software”.
(in this case your network adopter is Ethernet adopter so tap your Ethernet adapter)
Step 5:

Now on a new window you will need to click on “Browse my computer for driver software”.




Step 6:

Then select “Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer”.



Step 7:

Now choose the “Manufacturer’s drivers” from the list of two and then click next.



Step 8:

After the completion of the process just restart your PC and check if the problem is solved or not. If not, goto solution 2.



Solution 2: No Internet Access In Windows 8.1,windows10

Step 1:

Open command prompt.
Step 2:

Just go on hitting the enter after typing the each command.
netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disable
netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled
Step 3:

Now to check if the settings are disabled type:
netsh int tcp show global
then hit enter.
Step 4:

Now the thing left is just rebooting your system and just check if the problem is solved or not and just give feedback.*chuckle*Thumbs

  Click View on the Menu bar and select Show hidden devices.

  Locate Network Adapter and expand the same.
  
• 
  Right-click on Ethernet adapter
  and click on Uninstall button to uninstall the driver associated with the device.

  Restart the computer and check if the issue persists.
  

Also, download and install the latest network drivers from the manufacturer website and run in compatibility mode.

windows 8.1 No ethernet network adapter.

No problem, now if I could just figure this out I'd be happy so far

Click start and type “Device Manager” - and select it from the list of results.

Expand Network Adapters, then see if your ethernet adapter is there. Is it disabled?
