Network Adapters not working after resetting Wifi Router?

    Hello,

I reset my wifi router today by unplugging the power and plugging it back in, because I was having slowdowns and that usually fixes it and has never given me any issues before. I had my PC connected via Ethernet at the time I did that.

Wifi was back up and running fine within a few minutes, but on my PC I suddenly wasn't able to connect anymore, neither via Wifi nor LAN cable. Windows also wasn't showing me any networks to connect to at all when there are usually about 3 or 4 options. When I tried to troubleshoot the issue it only said "Troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem". I had been using NordVPN so I thought maybe that caused it and uninstalled it, but nothing changed. Now when I go into Network Connections, it doesn't show the Network Adapters.

In Device Manager, the two still show up, but with a yellow warning triangle. I already tried disabling them and enabling them again but it did nothing.
    They are named:
    IntelR I211 Gigabit Network Connection

Then I tried to reinstall the network drivers which I downloaded from the official page for my motherboard, but it failed with the message "Cannot install drivers. No IntelR Adapters are present in the computer". Network Adapters not working after resetting Wifi Router? 3a4589c7-ab9c-4c42-9b60-38dcaac011c8?upload=true.png

I've also tried several other tips I found by googling, like resetting the network settings via cmd prompt, but nothing has worked.

I am running Windows 10 Professional 64bit on an AMD platform and my motherboard is the MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

    :)

Safe Mode with Networking - No network - No WiFi adapter...

I'm not sure what build they made the change in . I have tried every suggestion I found and nothing worked. When in Safe Mode my wireless network doesn't even show up so I can't choose it as a option.

Edit: I just tried booting into Safe Mode. The network icon had a X in it. When I clicked on it the only option was Airplane Mode.

    Resetting Network Adapter

While I have read several suggestions for resetting the network adapter, they all involve rebooting the PC. I am wondering why the Windows Network and Internet troubleshooter doesn't reboot after resetting the adapter? Whatever it does appears (mostly) to solve my network connection issues and a solution that doean't involve rebooting would be an improvement.

Network Adapters not working after resetting Wifi Router?

Network Adapter not detectin my Router Wifi

    Hi Arun

Please provide a bit more detail . ..

Is this a recent problem, have you changed routers recently?

Open Device Manager (accessible by right clicking your Start Button)

    Expand the Network Adapters section

What is the exact model No. of your WiFi adapter?

If you have not changed routers and this is only a recent problem, please try this:

Click your Start Button, type cmd and choose Command Prompt

Run this command and hit Enter:

    ipconfig /flushdns

    Close Command Prompt

    Open the Settings App

    Go to Network and Internet

    Click the Network Reset button

Wait for your PC to automatically restart after 5 minutes
