Discus and support Network/advanced Shares in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; Is it possible to share a folder (via properties to sharing tab) that is owned by TrustedInstaller, or do I have to take ownership just like some of...     Is it possible to share a folder (via properties to sharing tab) that is owned by TrustedInstaller, or do I have to take ownership just like some of the folders?



    Please Note: I am not trying nor attempting to destroy my computer in any way shape or form, I am only asking this question for informational purposes only.

    Network and Sharing

    Hi Senay,

    Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    It is almost similar like other Windows Operating Systems.

    Follow the steps:

    • Go to Search>> Type Network and Sharing center>> Click on it to open (click on Change advanced sharing settings).
    • Then you will find the options to change it to Public.

    Block File sharing in Wifi network, Windows 10

    Hi Lori,

    As per the description, I understand that you want to block file sharing on your Wi-Fi network. I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

    • Right click on Start and select Control Panel.
    • Change the view type to Large Icons.
    • Click on Network and Sharing center.
    • In the left navigation pane, click on Advanced sharing center.
    • In the right pane, under Files and printer sharing, select the option:
      Turn off file and printer sharing.
    • Restart the system and check for status.

    Cannot access shared network drive


    I could scream! so much time wasted on this stupid error, as if time is not precious enough!
    It probably would work fine if I could see the other computer! But I cannot see the other computer!
