Windows 10: Network Channel for Mobile WiFi

So i use my Samsung Note 10+ to hotspot an internet connection for my W10 Laptop.


The speed is beyond slow, all my provider says is it's 'within range', but refuses to tell me what the range is. The max the phone can roam to is 4GX / LTE.


After doing some research I've found changing the Network Channel it's currently on 6 could help to speed things up, but I can't anywhere, the steps to allow me to do this.


Was just chatting with a "windows community member" who told me to uninstall the Wireless Adapter & restart my computer to install a more recent version of the driver, but regardless of whether it did / didn't do that, the Network Channel is still showing 6.


Can anybody please help?


I have WiFi Analyser on my mobile phone & WiFi Analyser and Scanner on my laptop, happy to provide any reports / images that might be at all helpful.


I used to be able to get btw 75-100 mbps download speed, but am now lucky if it get max 10 mbps, you can see my disappointment.

Thanks for trying the steps again. It's now clear that the problem is on your router. To reconnect your laptop to the network, we suggest that you set or specify the channel of your wireless network. If you can access your router's user interface, set the
channel to either channel 1, 6, or 11. Once done, remove your WiFi network from your preferred network list, then reconnect.

Why is my wifi slow?

Crowded look which channels are populated the most.

If you have a mobile phone you can use an app called Wifi Analyzer it list you all networks and channels otherwise your router does that as well in the config menu.

If all of those option are not available for you try changing the channel randomly in your router wifi setup

 

Error "The wifi network .... didn't respond" when using PC as mobile hotspot

Original title:- Use my PC as a mobile hotspot

When my PC has a cellular data connection, I want to turn it into a mobile hotspot to share my connection with other devices.

To do this I follow these steps.

  Select the Start button, then select Settings > Network & Internet
  > Mobile hotspot.

  Select Edit, enter a new network name and password, and then select
  Save.
  
• 
  Turn on the control under Mobile hotspot to share your cellular data connection.
  

After that I enter my Password to my nokia lumia 925 phone and try to connect to my new wifi network.

But it says "The wifi network .... didn't respond"

• I enter my password correctly.
• Turn of my wifi in pc
