Windows 10: Network connection failure upon waking from sleep, possibly edge related

Edge opened with a qestion about selecting default settings for edge, specifically "set default search engine to Bing". I said ok.Then I noticed an error window that had appeared before, so I had reinstalled a couple of times, bc it is a new thing to see for me. I was hoping a fresh install might fix it, as perhaps it was something I had goofed up. This time I had done nothing other than personalize the look and feel of windows.Upon waking up it seems to be confused about connecting to the network. I have wifi off, just the eth0 port active, standard wired networking.Here's the text I sent

I suggest you to check which devices are configured to wake up the computer from sleep by following the steps below:

• Right click on Start icon and select Command Prompt (Admin).
• Type the command line below:

Powercfg /devicequery wake_armed

3. Check if the devices (Keyboard, Mouse, Ethernet cable) are listed.

If the system is not going to sleep and going to Hybernate, the only option to wake up is to press the Power button.

Wi-Fi looses internet connection after waking up from sleep

I apologize for the delay in response. Try the below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to switch to wired connection (Connected the internet cable to your device), try to wake up the computer from sleep mode and check if the issue persists.

Step 2: As you are losing the internet connection after waking up from sleep mode, I suggest you to boot the computer to safe mode, try to wakeup the computer from sleep mode in Safe mode with networking and check if there is any issue with
internet connection.

computer wake-up after sleep

Did all the steps exactly as shown above and "Allow this device to wake the computer" was already selected.

I think you might have miss-understood the problem. It appears that the computer is waking up, but it doesn't re-connect to my display. I have to turn off the display and turn it back on to get my display to to re-connect. This was not a problem prior to
the last Win 10 upgrade.
