Windows 10: Network Connection Lost Regularly Starting Today

Haven't seen any problem with my network connection for years. Today WhatsApp regularly put up a message that said I was not connected to a network. I did a ping google.com -t to the global network and after a bunch of good pings ~9 ms, I get several "Request timed out.", then five "General failure", then a few more "Request timed out", then back to normal. This seems to have started after we had a one-hour power outage in the middle of the night and I blamed the router for handling that event poorly, but the router has been restarted and the problem persists. And no other pc in the house

Losing network connection

Hello Dear, if you have a laptop or a PC with a wireless network adapter, you can see a list of available wireless networks and then connect to one of those networks. The wireless networks will only appear if your PC has a wireless network adapter installed, the adapter is turned on, and the wireless access point is in range.

1. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Network Connections.

2. In the left pane, under Network Tasks, click View available wireless networks.
In case, If you don't see the network you want to connect to, click Refresh network list. If you see the network but the signal is weak, move the PC closer to the wireless router.

3. Click the network you want to connect to, and then click Connect.

4. If you're connecting to a secure network, type the security key, and then click OK.

Network connection lost - but still there

Hi,

Thanks for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

This issue might occur when network drivers are not updated.

I suggest you try updating your network adapters and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

• 
  Press Windows + x, select
  Device Manager.
  
• 
  Right click the Network Adapter drivers.
  
• 
  Select Update driver software.
