Windows 10: Network Driver

Hello, I've tried everything to update my network driver and nothing's working. As I'm using a laptop with only 32 GB, it won't let me update for the last version of windows from April (1803) and only after that I can see the update for the driver, but it's not doing it cause the other one is first. I went to the Catalog of Updates and everything but when I try to update it they say the time has expired. I really need some help here cause I can't connect to the internet so there's not much more I can do.

Windows 10 network driver

This could be due to incompatibility of the network adapter. Please try the suggestions below and check.

Step 1: I would suggest you to run Internet Connection troubleshooter.

Internet Connection troubleshooter.

• Press “Windows key + W” and type “troubleshooting”.
• Select “Troubleshooting”.
• Select “View all” on the top left corner.
• Click “Network & Internet”.
• Click on “Internet Connections”
• Follow the on-screen instruction to run the troubleshooter.

Step 2: Update the network adapter

a. Press Windows key + X and click Device Manager

b. Expand Network adapter

c. Right click the driver and click Update driver software

Step 3: Update the network adapter from the computer manufacturer's support website and check.

Method 1: I suggest you to run the hardware troubleshooter as below and check if it helps.

• Type in search bar as control panel.
• Then select troubleshooting.
• Click on hardware and sound option.
• Then click on “hardware and devices “and follow the on screen instructions.

Method 2: I suggest you to uninstall the network drivers as below steps.

• Press Windows+X and select “Device manager”.
• Then expand the Network adapters.
• Right click on the driver and uninstall it.

And then go to the manufacturers website download the network drivers, install it and check if the issue persists.

After Windows 10 update, network driver missing

Step 1: Initially, I suggest you to run Network Adapter troubleshooter.

Network Adapter troubleshooter finds and fixes problems with wireless and other Network Adapters.

  Press Windows key + X key and Select
  Control Panel

  Select Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Select View All on the top left corner.
  
• 
  Run Network Adapter troubleshooter.
  

Step 2: Install the driver in compatibility mode

Compatibility mode runs the program using settings from a previous version of Windows.

Follow the below steps:

• Right-click on the setup file of the driver and select
  Properties.
• Select Compatibility tab.
• Place a check mark next to Run this program in Compatibility mode and select
  previous the version of Windows (Windows 8) from the drop down list.
• Let the driver install and then check the functionality.
